The invention relates to, among other things, a digital directory for use in a communications system, in which a number of users communicate or can communicate with one another using appropriate terminals, and to be presented in a display device of a terminal assigned, in particular, to the user. The digital directory is stored in an electronic storage unit with a first data set, which is stored in the storage unit and which comprises first items of information for identifying the addressee user, and is stored with at least one set of additional second items of information, which are each electronically assigned to the corresponding first items of information and which comprise the additional items of information that are assigned to the respective addressee user. The invention provides that the directory has at least one identification data set, which is stored in the storage unit, that the identification data set comprises identifications, which are each electronically assigned to corresponding second items of information, that the identifications are freely defined or can be free defined by a respective user and/or addressee user, and that the identifications are electronically linked with the corresponding second items of information in such a manner that the first data set and, instead of the second items of information, the identification data set representing these are displayed or can be displayed in the display device of the terminal. |
