[Class 18] A canister, box, or like container, having a dished end with a pouring aperture 2 adapted to be covered by a longitudinally movable mask or slide 5, has the edge 3 of the dished end 1 cut away or compressed adjacent the aperture 2 to provide a surface contiguous to the end surface of the container adjacent the pouring opening. The surface 9 so provided by the interrupted edge 3 is wholly with:n the confines of the end of the canister. In a modification the edge adjacent the aperture may be pressed and bent outwards to form a small ledge lying in the same plane as the top of the end 1. |
