The present invention relates to a compressed air extraction device for a turbine and a control method thereof. The compressed air extraction device includes air extraction valve unit extracting compressed air inside a compressor formed on an engine of a gas turbine and a control unit controlling the opening and closing of the air extraction valve unit. The compressed air is extracted from the rear end of the compressor and supplied to the air extraction valve unit as a driving source. By using the compressed air extraction device for a turbine and the control method thereof, a preset amount of the compressed air is momentarily extracted to the outside of the compressor by using first and second air extraction valve units installed on each inter-stage and the end of the compressor in case of the start or the emergency shutdown of the engine of the gas turbine so that an effect of preventing a surge generated inside the compressor can be obtained.
