PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetostrictive torque sensor capable of efficiently canceling external magnetic field noise. SOLUTION: The magnetostrictive torque sensor 41 includes a rotary shaft 24 having magnetostrictive parts such as magnetostrictive films 81 and 82, coils such as detection coils 85, 85, 85, and 85 for detecting changes in magnetic characteristics such as magnetic permeabilities of the magnetostrictive films 81 and 82, and a good annular conductor such as a hollow cylindrical ring 90 surrounding the rotary shaft 24. The good annular conductor has, in a radial direction of the rotary shaft 24, at least a first good conductor layer 90a such as an inner layer 90a and a second good conductor layer 90b such as an outer layer 90b, and the ring 90 has a good conductor structure of a plurality of layers.
