A CPU (21) of an imaging device (1) photographs an interval moving image for each interval photographing and selects frames to be stored as still images from a plurality of frames comprising the corresponding interval moving image based on a face image, blurring, and the presence or absence of a change by an imaging unit (11) and stores theses selected still images in association with the interval moving image. If an amount of data exceeding a preset storage time is recorded, the CPU (21) firstly deletes low-grade interval moving images. Then if this is not enough, the CPU deletes low-grade still images, and thereby, retains an image file (a mixture of moving images and still images) within the desired time. |
