In the present invention, there is disclosed a photobioreactor for large-volume autotrophic culturing of algae, consisting of at least one inclined surface (1) being exposed to the action of photosynthesizing radiation and intended for running down of a culture medium enriched with nutrients and carbon dioxide in thin layer, wherein the inclined surface upper portion is provided with a culture medium distributor (6) and the lower portion thereof is provided with a collecting trough (3). The inclined surface (1) is further provided with depressions (2) or grooves whereby the depressions (2) have the form of a lens or a spherical cap with the height in the range of 1 to 50 mm and diameter of a border circle in the range of 2.5 to 200 mm. The centers of adjacent depressions (2) are spaced from each other in the range of 5 to 500 mm and the cross section of the grooves has the form of a circular segment with a depth in the range of 1 to 50 mm and the with in the range of 2.5 to 200 mm, and they extend perpendicularly to the inclined surface (1) incline. |
