A surgical access port features a cannula 120 with a first passage 121 for the insertion of a medical tool 1000, and a second passage containing an electrode 220. The passages diverge towards an end of the device, with the aim of the avoidance of contact between the metal surgical tool 1000 and the end of the electrode 220. The electrode 220 is normally used for the ionisation removal of surgical smoke from a cavity being operated upon. |
