The present invention relates to a short message service (SMS) text voting system and a text voting method thereof. The SMS text voting system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a mobile terminal which receives a text message with guide information and transmits a cheering or voting message for a supporting candidate to a phone number assigned to the selected candidate; a voting apparatus which encodes and stores the guide information and the voting result; and a voting management server which provides the information needed for the text voting or receives the voting result from the voting apparatus to provide relevant information when users request to check the voting result. |
