<p>A device for sterilizing container closures includes a transport device which transports the container closures along a predetermined transport path (P), an enclosure, which surrounds the transport device at least in sections, and a light source, which applies ultraviolet radiation (S) to the container closures during the transport thereof along the transport path (P).
