Anchor assembly and method of use

A flexible member securing assembly to secure a flexible member relative to tissue is provided and includes a shaft, an arm, an anchor, and a flexible member grasper. The shaft extends along a longitudinal axis from a first end and a second end. The arm is extendable from the shaft second end and the flexible member grasper is adjacent to a distal end of the arm to position the flexible member in relation to the anchor. The anchor is removably positioned at the shaft second end and can retain the flexible member in the tissue. Methods of securing a flexible member are also provided.

1. A method of securing a flexible member to tissue comprising:
forming a hole in the tissue; carrying the flexible member adjacent to a distal end of an anchor positioned on a distal end of a shaft and remote therefrom on a flexible member grasper; delivering the flexible member, the flexible member grasper, and the anchor to the hole in the tissue; piercing the tissue at a distal end of the hole with at least one of a first portion or a second portion of the flexible member grasper; securing the flexible member in the tissue by placing the anchor over the flexible member within the hole in the tissue; removing the first portion of the flexible member grasper from the hole in the tissue after securing the flexible member in the tissue; and retaining the second portion of the flexible member grasper in the hole with the anchor when removing the first portion of the flexible member grasper from the hole, wherein carrying the flexible member includes directly engaging the flexible member with the first portion and the second portion of the flexible member grasper.
