The present invention relates to a method and a device for calibrating time for a demand response device and, more specifically, to a method and a device for calibrating time for a demand response device which can reduce a time error in an intelligent demand response device that receives real-time meter rate information differentially applied according to a power demand supply situation through a network and autonomously adjusts electricity usage based on the real-time meter rate information. The method for calibrating time for a demand response device comprises the steps of: (a) transmitting a first packet to a receiving side, by a transmitting side; (b) transmitting a second packet including transmission time information of the first packet to the receiving side, by the transmitting side; (c) transmitting a third packet to the transmitting side after storing reception time information of the first packet and the transmission time information of the first packet included in the second packet, by the receiving side; (d) transmitting a fourth packet including reception time information of the third packet to the receiving side, by the transmitting side; and (e) calibrating a time error of the receiving side using the reception time information of the first packet, the transmission time information of the first packet, transmission time information of the third packet stored when the third packet is transmitted to the transmitting side, and the reception time information of the third packet, by the receiving side. |
