PROPULSION APPARATUS FOR SHIP, AND SHIP HAVING THE SAME

A propulsion device for a ship and a ship having the same are disclosed. The propulsion device for a ship according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a rear propeller fixed to a rotary shaft; a front propeller which is supported to the rotary shaft in front of the rear propeller to be rotated; and a counter rotating device which reverses the rotation of the rotary shaft and transfers the reversed rotation to the front propeller. The counter rotating device comprises: a gear box received in an installation space formed in the rear end of a hull; multiple gears which are installed inside of the gear box and reverse the front propeller; a cylindrical front connecting member which is installed on the outer side of the rotary shaft and is connected to one of the gears; and a power connecting device which detachably connects the front connecting member and the rotary shaft to each other. The power connecting device comprises: a drive flange connected to the rotary shaft; a driven flange which is arranged to face the drive flange and is connected to the front connecting member through a spline connecting part to be axially movable; and multiple fastening members which fasten the drive flange to the driven flange.
