The invention relates to wellbore fluids that includes an aqueous based fluid; an amphoteric, viscoelastic surfactant is disclosed, comprising a compound of formulawherein the radicals values are disclosed in the invention claims; at least one mixed amine selected from triethanolamine, methyldiethanolamine, dimethylethanolamine, diethanolamine, monoethanolamine and ammonia; and a modified starch structurized by at least one compound selected from epichlorohydrin, phosphorus oxychloride, adipic-acetic anhydrides and sodium trimetaphosphate. There are also disclosed methods of drilling a subterranean well, methods of reducing the loss of fluid out of a subterranean well and methods of completing wellbores using said wellbore fluid. |
