A packaged engine constructed by containing an engine (10) in a package (2). An air cleaner (22) and an intake silencer (23), which are engine intake devices, are arranged in an intake chamber (8A) which is a chamber different from a chamber in which a radiator (18) and the engine are contained. At least one wall surface of the intake chamber is adapted to be exposed to a cooling airflow sucked and discharged when a radiator fan is driven. When the temperature of ambient air is higher than or equal to a predetermined temperature, the radiator fan (19) is driven irrespective of whether or not an engine coolant in the radiator is being circulated. |
