an improved-reliability heat pipe edge comprising:
a non-porous material formed into a wedge-shaped chamber comprising an end cap opposite a leading edge of the wedge-shaped chamber; anda porous layer extending from interior surfaces of the non-porous material to provide capillary wicking formed as a single object with the wedge-shaped chamber; and a fail-safe passive edge located behind and coupled to the end cap, and coupled to the improved-reliability heat pipe edge by at least one attachment fastener. |
