1. An electric storage device comprising:
a case having a plurality of walls comprising a first wall including a terminal surface and a second wall formed opposite the first wall; an electric storage element formed by winding positive and negative plates being laminated via a separator, the electric storage element being housed in the case and away from an inner surface of the second wall of the plurality of walls; and a heat transfer member in contact with an outer surface of the second wall, the inner surface of which is away from the electric storage element such that during an expansion of the electric storage element upon charge and discharge, the electric storage element is maintained separate from the inner surface.
