A method for performing payment by user authentication comprises the following steps: a payment relay server receives first segment information among the first segment information and second segment information included in one piece of user information via the Internet network; transmitting the first segment information to an ARS server or SMS server/WAP server; the ARS server or the SMS server/WAP server connects to a mobile device of a user via a telephone network or a wireless data network, which is distinguishable from the Internet network, based on the first segment information; the ARS server or the SMS server/WAP server receives the second segment information from the mobile device via the telephone network or the wireless data network; the ARS server or the SMS server/WAP server transmits the second segment information to the payment relay server; the payment relay server authenticates the user based on the first segment information and the second segment information; and performing payment based on a result of the user authentication.
