PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, by targeting a thermosensitive transfer recording medium used for a printer of a thermosensitive transfer style, a thermosensitive transfer recording medium capable of preserving, even after having been stored at a high temperature, the water repellency of a thermal transfer protective layer prevailing as the post-transfer outermost surface layer and of easily removing water drops adhered to an outputted object due to the contact of a wet hand, etc. therewith by simply tilting the object without wiping off the same.SOLUTION: In a thermosensitive transfer recording medium including a heat-transferrable protective layer and obtained by configuring a heat-resistant layer on one surface of a substrate and by laminating, in proper order, a release layer and an adhesive layer on at least a portion of the other surface of the substrate, the release layer includes at least a silicone-hydroxyl group-containing acrylic block copolymer, a polyisocyanate and/or melamine resin as a curative, and hydrophobic particulates, whereas the ratio of the content of the silicone with respect to the solid content of the release layer resin is at least 5 wt.%, whereas the ratio of the content of the hydrophobic particulates with respect to the solid content of the release layer resin is at least 1 wt.%. |
