A method for calculating a quantity using a plant design system (PDS) is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: (a) executing a pipe modeling program to model piping; (b) connecting to a Pre_MTO system, creating an MTO table using an MDP such that material information can be included in the PDS, and outputting results as an Excel file, when the piping modeling is completed in step (a); and (c) selectively outputting and distributing a predetermined report using the results output in step (b). Therefore, a required quantity can be easily identified without several manual labors by comprehensively outputting a quantity of corresponding piping in a report using an Excel file. |
