PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method allowing a user to present electronic settlement.SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus 38 is operated by a user to present a request for an electronic settlement. A first server 24 which performs communication via a network 13 receives the request, and responding thereto, transmits a cipher key and a process to the electronic apparatus 38. The electronic apparatus 38 encrypts a piece of financial information using the cipher key and the process, and transmits the encrypted financial information to the first server 24. A second server 48 communicates with the first server 24 at least from time to time via an Internet connection. When being connected to the Internet, the first server 24 transmits the encrypted financial information to the second server 48. When being disconnected to the Internet, and when the settlement amount is smaller than a predetermined amount, the first server 24 notifies the electronic apparatus 38 that the settlement is accepted. |
