PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion capacitor designed such that charging/discharging of LIC can be performed stably reversely even in the case where electrolyte contains ionic liquid.SOLUTION: A lithium ion capacitor comprises: a cathode containing a cathode active material; an anode containing an anode active material; a separator interposed between the cathode and anode; and electrolyte having lithium ion conductivity. The electrolyte contains lithium salt and ionic liquid. The lithium salt is salt formed from lithium ion which is first cation and first anion. The ionic liquid is molten salt formed from second cation and second anion. The first anion and the second anion are the same.
