PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base setter capable of suppressing spalling cracks in the midportion of sides even when a rapid firing is carried out.SOLUTION: A base setter 1 is for supporting an object to be fired. The outer shape of the base setter 1 is a triangular to hexagonal shape whose sides 3 are bent inward. The amount AB of a recess in the midportion of each of the sides 3 is 5-25% of a length CD of each side 3. The sides 3 thus bent inward leads to a shape, from which portions being apt to generate large heat stress are cut off. Even when a rapid firing is carried out, the base setter 1 is capable of preventing spalling cracks in the midportion of the sides 3. |
