PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to select a generic medicine while taking harmful effect on a patient into consideration.SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical additive verification device comprises: an alternative medicine identification unit 17 which identifies an alternative medicine that can replace a prescribed medicine mentioned in a prescription; an inclusion additive search unit 18 which searches for inclusion additives included in the alternative medicine identified by the alternative medicine identification unit 17; an affecting additive identification unit 19 which identifies harmfully-affecting additives that harmfully affect a patient who is prescribed the prescribed medicine; and a warning output unit 21 which outputs a warning when any of the harmfully-affecting additives identified by the affecting additive identification unit 19 is included in the inclusion additives obtained by the inclusion additive search unit 18.
