PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet apparatus that suppresses a defect in discharging a liquid and improves continuous discharge characteristics by suppressing a defect in discharging in initial charging.SOLUTION: A liquid jet apparatus includes: a flow passages 52 which communicates with a nozzle opening 56 for jetting a liquid; a piezoelectric actuator 11 which causes pressure change in the flow passage 52; and control means of generating a drive signal for driving the piezoelectric actuator 11. The control means controls driving before charging in which the piezoelectric actuator 11 is driven before a liquid to be discharged as a liquid droplet is charged in the liquid jet head 1 in a state in which the liquid to be discharged as the liquid droplet is not charged in a recording head 1. |
