PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish a small-sized linear ultrasonic motor of which the thickness is reduced in a direction of pressurization.SOLUTION: The linear ultrasonic motor comprises: a vibrator in which ultrasonic vibration is generated by an applied high frequency drive voltage; a slider with which the vibrator is brought into press-contact and which is relatively moved by ultrasonic vibration; a vibrator holding member which holds the vibrator and moves relatively to the slider; a guide part for guiding a direction of relative movement of the vibrator holding member; and a pressurization part which brings the vibrator into press-contact with the slider. The guide part is disposed with a position where the vibrator is brought into press-contact with the slider interposed between the guide part and the pressurization part on a plane crossing a pressurization direction of a pressurizing force presented by the pressurization part while including the direction of movement. The pressurization part and the guide part are positioned at least partially within an equal distance from the plane in the direction of pressurization. |
