PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving strength of a mating connector.SOLUTION: A receptacle 3 which is installed on a receptacle side substrate 2 when used includes: a frame body 15; a plurality of cantilever beams 16 which are formed to extend from the frame body 15 and have a substrate alienation portion 16b extending in a direction parting from the receptacle side substrate 2; a contact cover 30 which covers the substrate alienation portion 16b of the plurality of cantilever beams 16 as a result of being installed on the opposite side of the receptacle side substrate 2 across the substrate alienation portion 16b of the plurality of cantilever beams 16; and a plurality of conductive patterns 11 installed on the plurality of cantilever beams 16 via an insulation layer 10. The frame body 15 forms a plug storage space S for storing a plug 5. The plug storage space S is formed to surround the substrate alienation portion 16b of the plurality of cantilever beams 16.
