PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector in which a light modulator is uniformly illuminated.SOLUTION: An illumination apparatus 10 of a projector 100 includes: a plurality of first light-emitting elements 12R arranged along a Y-axis direction and sequentially emitting light along the Y-axis direction to emit first color light 2R; a plurality of second light-emitting elements 12G arranged along the Y-axis direction and sequentially emitting light along the Y-axis direction to emit second color light 2G; a plurality of third light-emitting elements 12B arranged along the Y-axis direction and sequentially emitting light along the Y-axis direction to emit third color light 2B; and a plurality of phase modulation parts 16 sequentially receiving the first color light 2R, the second color light 2G, and the third color light 2B, and arranged along the Y-axis direction. The phase modulation part 16 converts the first color light 2R, the second color light 2G, and the third color light 2B which enter the phase modulation part 16 into a first light flux 4R, a second light flux 4G, and a third light flux 4B, respectively. |
