PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transportation state detection device for detecting the transportation state of a paper roll easily.SOLUTION: A transportation state detection device comprises: a conveyor 10 for transporting a plurality of cylindrical paper rolls 1 continuously in a predetermined direction; and a sensor 20 for determining whether or not the paper roll on a transfer face 11 of the conveyor 10 is in a "tilt state" or an "upright state". The sensor 20 measures the height of the paper roll 1 on the transfer face 11 of the conveyor 10. The sensor 20 determines a "tilt state", in the case where the height of the paper roll 1 is identical to the diameter of the paper roll 1, and determines an "upright state", in the case where the height of the paper roll 1 is identical to the axial length of the paper roll 1. |
