<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an abnormal pressure rise in a compression chamber even when a liquid is compressed.SOLUTION: A scroll compressor includes: a fixed scroll 2 and a revolving scroll 3 which form a compression chamber 100; a discharge area where a compressed working fluid is discharged; a back pressure chamber 110 which is formed on the back of the revolving scroll; a back pressure valve flow passage which links the back pressure chamber and compression chamber to each other and has a back pressure valve 7 halfway; and a bypass value flow passage which links the compression chamber and discharge area to each other and has a bypass valve 9 halfway. Further, a back pressure communication path 2i of the back pressure valve flow passage is connected to a flow passage part 2e1, connecting the bypass valve and compression chamber to each other, of the bypass valve flow passage, and the back pressure valve flow passage is linked to the compression chamber through the bypass valve flow passage. When liquid compression is performed in the compression chamber, the working fluid flows through the bypass valve flow passage to causes a pressure drop, which is utilized to open the back pressure valve of the back pressure flow passage, so that an axial gap between the fixed scroll and revolving scroll is increased by lowering the pressure in the back pressure chamber.</p> |
