<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent excimer lamp which highly efficiently emits ultraviolet light and prevents a phosphor from deteriorating, and a fluid treatment device.SOLUTION: A fluorescent excimer lamp comprises: a vacuum ultraviolet light source including a discharge tube formed of a dielectric in which light-emitting gas is encapsulated, and a pair of electrodes which are disposed oppositely via the light-emitting gas and the dielectric forming the discharge tube; and an outside tube with which a phosphor layer is formed on its inner surface and which is disposed via a gap around an outer circumference of the vacuum ultraviolet light source and accommodates the vacuum ultraviolet light source therein. In the fluorescent excimer lamp, both ends of the outside tube are hermetically sealed, and inert gas is encapsulated in the gap within the outside tube.</p> |
