PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lubricant delivery systems and methods for reducing cleaning blade-related torque and reducing over-coated photoreceptor wear thereby eliminating image quality defects.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus comprises a photoreceptor 100, a cleaning blade 110 contacting and cleaning the photoreceptor 100, and a delivery roller 102 delivering a lubricant to the photoreceptor 100. The delivery roller 102 is movable and selectively controlled to contact or not to contact the photoreceptor 100. The delivery roller 102 is in intermittent contact with the photoreceptor 100 during printing operations of the printing apparatus, thereby delivering a proper amount of the lubricant to the photoreceptor 100. |
