PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer that prints a pattern, which has been inputted, while a pattern having an arbitrary shape is being inputted.SOLUTION: A printer includes an input unit that enables input of a pattern having an arbitrary shape, a display unit that displays the pattern, a printing unit that performs printing on a medium to be printed, a pattern recognition unit that recognizes an input pattern inputted from the input unit, a recognized pattern memory unit in which the pattern recognized by the pattern recognition unit is stored, a print pattern memory unit in which a print pattern to be printed by the printing unit is stored, a recognition adjustment time designation unit that designates a recognition adjustment time for the pattern recognition unit, and a control unit that allows the printing unit to print the print pattern stored in the print pattern memory unit, and allows the recognition adjustment time designation unit to adjust the recognition adjustment time on the basis of the number of recognized patterns stored in the recognized pattern memory unit and the number of print patterns stored in the print pattern memory unit. |
