PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a formulation composition for preparing an inkjet print head front face coating.SOLUTION: A formulation composition for preparing an inkjet print head front face coating includes a sol containing: a mixture of monomers including at least one fluoroalkoxysilane monomer; a solvent; a catalyst; and water. The formulation composition is stable towards gelation for more than 1.5 hours. The catalyst is a soluble hydroxide catalyst. The monomers have a fluorine content of about 15 wt.% to about 65 wt.%.
