PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct detected positional and azimuth errors so as to minimize them for an information terminal, improving accuracy in a display position of facility information such as a building to be displayed on a screen in link with detected position and azimuth.SOLUTION: A positional information correction method, for use in an information terminal that displays facility information such as a building together with a position on a map, includes the steps of: obtaining present positional information by the information terminal; detecting an azimuth that a camera held by the information terminal can pick up; displaying information of a present position of the information terminal on a map displayed on display means, displaying a pickup image of a facility such as a building existing at an azimuth that the camera can pick up, searching a server for facility information using the information of the present position, and displaying the searched facility information overlapped on the pickup image; and correcting the present position of the information terminal detected in the step of detecting the present position, by moving a position of an icon indicating the present position. |
