OFF SHORE STRUCTURE WITH COMMUNICATION NETWORK AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

The present invention relates to offshore construction including a communications network and a control method thereof. The offshore construction comprises an offshore construction communications network to transmit and receive a signal with a wireless or wired communications method in the offshore construction based on an optical integration wired backbone network; a ship communications network to transmit and receive a wireless signal with an external ship from the offshore construction communications network; and a safety management network to manage communications equipment forming the offshore construction communications network by connecting from the offshore construction communications network to an external management server. Therefore, the present invention guarantees the reliability and safety of a wireless communications network by removing a shadow area which can be generated in the wireless communications network of the offshore construction; manages the safety of crew members based on the wireless communications network of the offshore construction; and handles a failure condition by monitoring the condition of the network in a remote site.
