PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an image with high quality in which no stripe is generated in a formed image by maintaining a dissolved oxygen amount in ink at a low level.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device comprises: a discharge head 250; an ink tank 252 which is connected with the discharge head 250 through a supply channel 212 and a recovery channel 312; a deaeration module 360 which is installed at the supply channel 212 side; a main tank 256; and a supply control part which controls supply and recovery of the ink. Supposing a supplement flow rate from the main tank 256 to the ink tank 252 as L1 (ml/sec) and a consumption flow rate discharged from the discharge head 250 as L2 (ml/sec), and in a case of L1<L2, a printing restriction time n is determined by an equation (1), n≤(&Dgr;T/L2)+[T/(L2-L1)] (1). If printing is not completed within the printing restriction time n, deaeration of the ink is implemented by circulating the ink. |
