PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved reduction method of an oxide layer which can avoid thick coating in the prior art.SOLUTION: A method for reducing an oxide layer of a titanium component of an anode in an electrolytic cell includes the steps of applying a proper potential to the anode, and supplying the anode with a reduction medium.
