<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of avoiding the problem caused by a toner being attached to an end of a recording sheet.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes an image forming unit 140 that forms a toner image on a recording sheet S, charging units (high-voltage power source 180, charging member 182, and pinion rack mechanism 184) that charge an end of the recording sheet S, and a control unit 200 that controls, before the toner image is formed by the image forming unit 150, the charging units to charge the end of the recording sheet S to have the same polarity as the polarity of a toner to be used for the formation of the toner image.</p> |
