PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the sugar content of a test body more accurately with the use of visible light.SOLUTION: A saccharimeter 10 comprises: an LED light source (58) for emitting a visible light; and a sugar content determination PC (54). When a test body is installed on a hand-mounting base, for example, the visible light emitted by the LED light source is cast on the test body, and a transmitted beam from the test body enters a spectrum meter (56). The sugar content determination PC obtains transmitted beam data from the spectrum meter, and sets a wavelength correction value cor, a color tone correction value t and a calculation parameter r. With the use of the set values, a first sugar content parameter A indicating a sugar content with a color tone of the test body taken into consideration and a second sugar content parameter indicating a sugar content with the color tone of the test body not taken into consideration are calculated. A sugar content of the test body can be obtained by obtaining a gradient average (weighted average) of the two sugar content parameters. |
