PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine of a saddle type vehicle excellent in regard to ambient environment.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine of a saddle type vehicle includes: a cylinder head and a head cover 25 made of resin which are successively connected to a cylinder block such that a cylinder axial line S1 is bent forward; a gasket 40 which is sandwiched on the joint surface between the cylinder head and the head cover 25; and a blow-by gas ventilation device which exhausts blow-by gas generated on the inner part. Therein, a low surface pressure part 55 on which the gasket 40 is sandwiched with the lowest surface pressure is formed on a cylinder head and a portion located on a position corresponding to the upper wall of a head cover 25.
