PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet discharge device capable of suppressing an uneven distribution of temperature in a liquid droplet discharge head which affects variance in discharge characteristics of droplets discharged from a nozzle communicating with a plurality of liquid chambers in mutually different areas of a liquid droplet discharge head.SOLUTION: Driving signal application means capable of applying driving signals to a plurality of pressure generation means of a liquid droplet discharge head 34 independently of one another is configured to apply the driving signals having fine driving waveform for finely vibrating a liquid level exposed from a nozzle 110a without discharging any liquid droplet from the nozzle. A control part 500 controls the driving signal application means so as to apply the driving signals having mutually different fine driving waveforms to pressure generation means positioned in the plurality of mutually different areas S1, S2, and S3 among the plurality of pressure generation means. Heat quantity caused by application of the driving signals having fine wave forms in the pressure generation means disposed in the respective regions are different from each other. |
