The present invention relates to a windbreaking apparatus for sash windows which is installed at window and window sill frames to block outside air from being introduced indoor through the sash windows so as to improve indoor warming effect. According to the present invention, in the windbreaking apparatus for sash windows including a vertical frame installed at both edges of a sash window installing hole at a wall body of a building to be vertically extended; a window sill frame including a horizontal frame connecting an upper end and a lower end of the vertical frame; a sliding frame slidably coupled to the horizontal frame; and a window frame including a coupling frame vertically connecting both ends of the sliding frame, the vertical frame includes a base portion; and a first windbreaking member protruded from the base portion in a forward direction, having a vertically extended protruded portion, and coupled to the protruded portion, and the coupling frame includes an insertion portion in which an inserting groove is formed to enable the protruded portion to be inserted and inserted to surround the coupling frame to make the first windbreaking member to be inserted; and a second windbreaking member including a fastening portion extended from the insertion portion to be fastened to the coupling frame. |
