PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device that can restrain wrong operations more than in conventional such devices especially in a pressing operation area.SOLUTION: An operation face of an input device has a pressing operation area and a sliding operation area. When an operating position detector detects in a pressing operation area one operating body to operate the operation face, no operation processing is executed if a first planar shifting extent of the operating body is at or below a first threshold or, if the first planar shifting extent of the operating body is above the first threshold, operation processing is executed. When there are a plurality of operating bodies to operate the operation face and at least one of the operating bodies is detected in the pressing operation area, no operation processing is executed if a second planar shifting extent of the operating body detected in the pressing operation area is at or below a second threshold or, if the second planar shifting extent of the operating body is above the second threshold, operation processing is executed. In this case, the second threshold is set to a greater value than the first threshold. |
