PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for registering a subscriber side device capable of completing a discovery sequence in TDM/WDM-PON earlier than conventionally possible.SOLUTION: In a network configured by including a station side device having a plurality of termination devices and a plurality of subscriber side devices, the plurality of termination devices being assigned mutually different wavelengths, one termination device transmits a response request signal (discovery gate) to the subscriber side devices. An unregistered subscriber side device responds to the response request signal and transmits a response signal (register request) to one of the termination devices. The termination device having received the response signal registers the unregistered subscriber side device. |
