PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow takeover of data without requiring backup operation by a user.SOLUTION: An information processing system executes: first processing of determining a disc status of a first storage part on the basis of reliability information acquired from the first storage part; second processing of writing into a second storage part and reading from at least either the first storage part or the second storage part when the disc status of the first storage part is recognized as a protection status in the first processing; and third processing of updating the address of storage data in the first and second storage parts according to writing in the second processing.
