PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the suction performance of a pump by suppressing cavitation produced by high-revolution operation of an impeller in a pump, e.g. a mixed flow pump or an axial flow pump.SOLUTION: A pump is provided with an impeller 8 having a plurality of impeller blades 14 which delivers a liquid in the axial direction from the upstream side to the downstream side by rotating around an axis line O. The cord length L of each impeller blade 14 increases gradually from the end part of the radial-direction inner side toward the end part of the radial-direction outer side, and the rear edge 14d of each impeller blade 14 has no part inclined toward the upstream side between the end part of the radial-direction inner side and the end part of the radial-direction outer side. A water jet propulsion unit provided with the pump is also provided. |
