PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide oxaloacetate decarboxylase having improved heat stability.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a variant of oxaloacetate decarboxylase having improved heat stability, of which amino acid sequence has 70% or more homology to a specified amino acid sequence and has mutation in one or more amino acid residues selected from amino acid residues corresponding to the amino acid residues at the positions 3, 34, 64, 154 and 243 of the specified amino acid sequence. Also the invention relates to a method for producing decarboxylated product of a keto acid utilizing decarboxylation reaction catalyzed by the variant oxaloacetate decarboxylase, and a method for producing an amino acid from a keto acid by transamination reaction coupled with the decarboxylation reaction. |
