PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contaminated soil treating method capable of further reducing the volume of soil including concentrated contaminants.SOLUTION: A clay lump contained in contaminated soil is loosened by crushing treatment soil of a particle size range exceeding a first classification point classified from the contaminated soil using a first wet hydraulic classifier 3 by a first crusher 4. Thus, fine particles adhering to the surface of soil particles and including highly concentrated contaminants are separated from coarse particles including a small amount of the contaminants. The treatment soil after being crushed by the first crusher 4 is classified by using a second wet hydraulic classifier 5. Thus, soil to which a large amount of the contaminants is adhered and whose particle size is in a predetermined particle size range is separated.
