PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtering device which is equipped with a magnet roller capable of efficiently removing chips from a machining liquid.SOLUTION: A magnet roller 4 includes a fixed shaft 40 located inside a chip collection tank 5, a plurality of magnet pieces 41 mounted on the outer peripheral surface of the fixed shaft 40, a non-magnetic rotary cover cylinder 43 covering the outer peripheral surface of a magnet rod 42 comprising the fixed shaft 40 and the plurality of magnet pieces 41, and driving means rotationally driving the rotary cover cylinder 43 around its axis. A first chip scraping member 8 abuts on the outer peripheral surface of the rotary cover cylinder 43, and the magnetic force of a magnet piece 41A adjacent to the first chip scraping member 8 among the plurality of magnet pieces 41 is set smaller than that of other magnet pieces. |
