PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a bacteriocidal and antiviral latex member which can be solidified without use of a crosslinking agent, e.g. zinc, or a coagulant, does no cause blackening and allows easy production of an article having a complicated shape.SOLUTION: A method of producing a latex member having bacteriocidal and antiviral activities is characterized by adding a monovalent copper compound and/or an iodide to a rubber latex and irradiating with radiation rays. Another method of producing a latex member having bacteriocidal and antiviral activities is characterized by adding the monovalent copper and/or the iodide and a monomer having an unsaturated bonding part to the rubber latex and irradiating with radiation rays. |
